6th House — Ari Bhav
enemies, disease, debt
The Roga Bhava, the House of Disease and Enemies
The sixth bhava is the sixth of the twelve houses, a domain of life rather than a mere astronomical division. It is known as the bhava of roga (disease) and of shatru (enemies). The lord of this house, the Shashthesh, is accordingly also called the Rogesh, the lord of disease. It is from this bhava that one judges what kind of enemies the native will face in life and whether or not those enemies will gain the upper hand over them, as well as bodily illness and the results concerning rina (debt) and the like.
The Karakas: Shani and Mangal
The karakas (the natural significators) of this bhava are Shani, Saturn, and Mangal, Mars.
