Venus in the 6th House

Ari Bhavenemies, disease, debt

Favourable Results

When Shukra (Venus) occupies the 6th house (the Ari Bhava, the house of enemies, disease, and debt), the native (the person whose chart it is) is born into a noble family (kula). He is free of disease, well-educated, discerning, and learned. The native takes an interest in singing, dance, and the fine arts (lalita kala), and he remains forever cheerful. He does have enemies (shatru), but he always keeps them suppressed. He enjoys happiness from his maternal uncles and maternal aunts, and his friends (mitra) are of excellent character. He gains from employment and the like, but he does not profit much from independent business. He is fond of beautiful, clean rooms. He comes to have sons and grandsons (putra and pautra). Once he marries and forms ties with his in-laws (his wife's family), his fortune (bhagya) turns favourable.

Unfavourable Results

If Shukra is debilitated (neecha), weak (alpa), or otherwise under an inauspicious influence, the native is learned, of base nature, witless, disease-ridden, timid, unclean (malin), dull-witted (jada-buddhi), and keeps low company. His nature is fickle and given to change. He gains no happiness from his parents and elders (gurujan), and he for his part opposes them as well. He harbours ill-will (dvesha) towards his wife. He has illicit relations with many young women. In the end he becomes impotent, lacking virility, or develops diseases of the genital organs. He is condemned by society. Such a native remains surrounded at all times by enemies and adversaries, on account of which he suffers considerable sorrow and mental unrest (manasik ashanti). His wealth, too, is squandered on wrong paths (kumarga) and in the end reduces him to poverty (daridra). His daughter, too, comes to live in his house, either widowed or divorced. His family meets with suffering, or else he himself abandons house and home.
