When Shukra (Venus) occupies the 7th house (the Yuvati Bhava, the house of marriage, the spouse, and partnerships), the native (the person whose chart it is) has an attractive face, a cheerful mind, and sound health, free of disease. He is generous, majestic, fond of comfort and ease, and clever in his dealings, an artist accomplished in singing, dancing, and the like. He is fond of water sports, given to travel and roaming, and resides in distant lands away from his home. He obtains happiness from beautiful women, and his desire for sensual enjoyment (bhoga) is strong. The native is blessed with pure, virtuous, and fortunate sons. His wife is well-born and noble (kulin), youthful in appearance, fair-complexioned, and bright-eyed, devoted to her husband (pativrata), fortunate, and wealthy.

Unfavourable Results

The native is quarrelsome and fond of strife, lustful, lacking in self-effort and enterprise (purushartha), and of a suspicious, doubting mind. On account of a vata disorder (an ailment of the wind element), he suffers persistent pain in the lower back and waist. He is drawn into love affairs with prostitutes (veshya) or unchaste, wayward women (kulata), while he harbours ill-will towards his own wife. Doing business with his brother-in-law (his wife's brother), his father-in-law, and the like brings him loss of wealth. If Shukra is conjoined with a malefic graha (a paapa graha, an inauspicious celestial influencer), happiness from the wife is diminished, and it can even result in the death of the wife.
