The native (the person whose chart it is) is illustrious and wins renown. He has a taste for music, for the tantra shastra (the science of tantra), and for similar subjects. His wife is beautiful and gives him conjugal pleasure (rati sukha). He prevails over his enemies (shatru) and his opponents, and he emerges victorious in conflict. He enjoys the comfort of cattle, other animals, and vehicles (vahana). Salaried employment proves more profitable for him than running an independent business of his own. He is blessed with sons and grandsons. He will awaken his fortune (bhagya) through his ties with his maternal uncle, his nephews, and the like, and giving in charity (dana) and similar acts will increase that fortune further. In life, everything comes to him unasked.

Unfavourable Results

If Guru (Jupiter) stands under an inauspicious influence, the native is indolent. He suffers from vata (wind) disorders and from diseases of the nose. He is quick to take fright, foolish, lustful, sickly, lean of body, and violent, and his appetite is poor. He lacks virility (paurusha), and for this reason he remains under the sway of women. He meets with humiliation in life, and people are slow to place their trust in him. He remains burdened with debt (he is a rini, a debtor).
