Favourable Results

When Ketu (the south lunar node, a shadow graha) is favourable, the native (the person whose chart it is) is valiant, truthful, sweet-spoken, industrious, and prosperous. During the period of a favourable Ketu, a Raja yoga (a royal combination that confers power and status) is also held to form. The native enjoys the full happiness of his kinsmen and relatives (bandhu-bandhav). His house is filled with vehicles, wealth, and grain (dhan-dhanya). Thoughts of journeying to a foreign land (deshantar) take shape, but an obstacle arises when he sets out to begin the journey. His relations with his father remain excellent. He passes his life leaning on the support of the Supreme (Paramatma).

Unfavourable Results

The native is one who slanders and criticizes others, and he is restless and agitated. He is feeble, of a weak mental disposition, and given to blowing matters out of proportion. He receives no happiness from his mother (mata) and his friends (mitra). Through his friends, his father's wealth is destroyed. While dwelling in his own home, he remains beset by a constant unease. In the end he is left lying about in the houses of others, and many a time he even has to leave the land of his birth (janmabhumi). In assemblies and the like (sabha) he fails to obtain a place of honour.
