Favourable Results

The native (the person whose chart it is) is handsome, of excellent health, long-lived, and intelligent. Though he may not possess much wealth, he is assured of every comfort in life. He gains wealth and property through someone's death or through a bequest (a will or legacy), and the like. The servants in his household are trustworthy. His own lifespan, and that of the members of his household and family, is long. His fortune (bhagya) grows through his devotion to Paramatma (the Supreme Lord). He takes a keen interest in pilgrimage (tirtha-yatra), meditation (dhyana), the practice of yoga (yogabhyasa, yogic discipline), and the like. In his times of sorrow, help reaches him from the Lord. In the end he attains a peaceful death at a place of pilgrimage (tirtha) and goes to dwell in Vaikuntha (the abode of Vishnu, the heavenly realm).

Unfavourable Results

If Guru (Jupiter) is under an inauspicious influence, the native is wretched, base, a destroyer of the renown of his kula (his lineage), miserly, devoid of discernment, devoid of humility, and of a frail body. He remains troubled by rumours and by people. He is harassed and humiliated by enemies (shatru) and adversaries. Often his paternal grandfather passes away before the native reaches the age of eight. In life, matters may even come to the point of going to prison. The native receives little happiness from his father. He does not spend much time in his father's house, and separates from it early. He consorts with a widowed woman of a low class. In the end, having fallen into debt, or because of it, the native's death too comes amid suffering.
