Venus in the 12th House
Vyaya Bhav — losses, liberation, foreign lands
Favourable Results
When Shukra (Venus) occupies the 12th house (the Vyaya Bhava, the house of losses, expenditure, and liberation), the native (the person whose chart it is) is wealthy, of a stout body, and fond of sports and entertainment. He takes great pleasure in amorous play (kama-keli). His wife is devoted and chaste (pativrata) and a giver of comfort, and he is generally under her control. He enjoys the comfort of an excellent bed (shayya sukha). He takes an interest in animal husbandry (the rearing of livestock) and earns a profit from it.
Unfavourable Results
The native is poor, a liar, cruel, lustful, adulterous, deceitful, fond of the arts (kala-priya), and devoid of faith. He goes after other men's wives (parastri-gami) and keeps a mistress. Under an inauspicious aspect (drishti, the gaze that a graha casts) of the graha Shukra, either he is divorced from his wife, or his wife dies, or a great deal of wealth is spent on the wife's illness. The native's body carries an excess of kapha (the phlegm humour). He bears enmity toward his friends and his family members. His wealth is destroyed in wasteful expenditure, and in the end he becomes debt-ridden (rinagrast). And if he is a nastik (an unbeliever, an atheist), his fortune (bhagya) is destroyed.
