He enjoys comfort and rest at night. His in-laws are wealthy. He takes an interest in Vedanta (the school of philosophy concerned with the knowledge of ultimate reality and liberation). This Rahu is helpful in study, in knowledge, and in the attainment of moksha (liberation).

His well-settled affairs fall to ruin. His sons are few. His maternal uncle suffers hardship; and because of his own irascible nature, after making others unhappy he himself too endures anguish.
