Favourable Results

The native (the person whose chart it is) is true-hearted and straightforward. He stays devoted to providing for his family. He has the courage to take risks. He keeps his composure on the field of battle and emerges victorious in war. The native gains honour, respect, garments, and land from wealthy people, from the state and the government, and the like. He obtains buried wealth (treasure that has lain concealed). Keeping cordial relations with his sister-in-law (his elder brother's wife) brings him favourable results.

Unfavourable Results

Mangala (Mars) in the 4th House generally gives only unfavourable results. This graha (celestial influencer) obstructs even the favourable results of the other grahas. The native is markedly lacking in endurance. His intellect becomes clouded, as if a veil has fallen over his judgement. There is an excess of pitta (bile) in the body, so the body stays weak. After his birth, the family falls into a shortage of wealth. He is ill-omened for the longevity of his mother, his mother-in-law, and his wife. He gains no happiness from friends, brothers, relatives, mother, sister, and the like. Owing to his anger, he often creates quarrels at home. He never finds steadiness or peace of mind. He performs servile, slavish work for base people. He is intensely lustful. His character declines to the point that his mind stays fixed on another man's wife. Such a person speaks without thinking; he bluntly flings others' faults in their faces, and so he has many enemies. But if such a native himself takes up enmity, he destroys the other party's lineage root and branch. In such a person's house or neighbourhood there generally lives a widow, by whose service this person can find relief.
