Ketu in the 9th House
Dharma Bhav — dharma, fortune, higher learning
Favourable Results
The native (the person whose chart it is) is valorous, mighty, generous, and compassionate. He himself becomes a king or a minister. He travels a great deal and keeps several weapons by him. He is certain to be blessed with a son, and his relations with his father are excellent; after the native's birth, the father's financial position rises high. From mlecchas (people outside the Vedic fold) or foreigners the native gains wealth, and his fortune increases. He earns his gains through work done with his hands. By keeping gold in the house, that gold grows still further. He finds joy through austerity, charitable giving, and the like.
Unfavourable Results
The native is wrathful, given to maligning others, hypocritical, fortuneless, and destitute. His body and arms remain afflicted with pain. He has few sons. He meets with suffering in connection with his friends and his own brothers. He harbours enmity towards his father, or else he suffers censure in society. People mock his austerities, his charity, and the like. At times such a native even changes his religion. This Ketu (the south lunar node, a shadow graha) also gives unfavourable results to the maternal uncle's lineage (the mother's side of the family).
