When Rahu (the north lunar node, a shadow graha that grasps and acts upon the chart) occupies the 3rd house (the Sahaja Bhava, the house of siblings, courage, and communication), the native (the person whose chart it is) is valorous, pure of heart, industrious, proud, victorious, glorious and renowned (yashasvi, of lasting fame), and wealthy. He has the strength of arm of a lion and an elephant. Such a person never fears anyone. He himself regards all the creatures of the world as his kin (bandhu), and in the end he wins the friendship and love of all. But if anyone takes up enmity against him, the power of his excellent fortune (bhagya) destroys that enemy. He is honoured by the king and travels to distant regions. Without any effort, his wealth grows the moment it comes into his hands. He is never without a son. In his final years he is certain to become the master of property and estate, and he never dies a debtor.

Unfavourable Results

The native is poor and indolent, and there is some defect in his body. His livestock and cattle-wealth (pashudhana) are destroyed. With his brothers he lives in strife and discord. In particular, the brother born after him, his younger brother, may suffer misfortune, even to the point of death.
