Favourable Results

The native (jataka, the person whose chart it is) is of gentle, virtuous nature (sheel) and excellent conduct. He feels great hunger and is therefore fond of eating. He is learned (vidvan), compassionate, thrifty, and a careful, well-meaning spender. The native's wealth (dhana) is spent on auspicious undertakings (mangal kaarya). He has schools, temples, and dharamshalas (rest-houses for pilgrims and travellers) built. The native travels to foreign lands (videsh). After death (mrityu) he attains heaven (swarga).

Unfavourable Results

The native is physically weak and sickly (rogi, prone to disease). He is angry, cruel in nature, violent, lazy, and agitated. He suffers eye disorders (netra-vikar) or weak eyesight. His heart's desires (manokamna) remain unfulfilled. He is not even blessed with good sleep at night. He lives in fear of enemies (shatru), or is defeated by his opponents. Such a native wishes to remain unhappy even without cause: by burning his own mind, he keeps making all his own near and dear ones around him unhappy too. The native feels little love for his paternal or maternal uncle (chacha or mama) and for women. Between husband and wife there is separation (viyog) without cause.
