Mars in the 12th House
Vyaya Bhav — losses, liberation, foreign lands
Favourable Results
The native (the person whose chart it is) is cheerful and genial, of sturdy, robust body, and efficient and capable in his work. He is of a wandering disposition, fond of travel, and on several occasions journeys to foreign lands. He is truthful, generous, plain-spoken, self-sacrificing, and a lover of freedom. In such a native's 26th year a yoga (a planetary combination producing its result) for fame and renown is formed. He is skilled at bringing about reconciliation even between two enemies (shatru). In the course of his life he founds some institution or organisation.
Unfavourable Results
The native is arrogant and given to vanity, fallen in character, strayed from the right path, contrary and oppositional in temperament, devoid of wealth, and quick to anger. With his harsh words he keeps distressing his own kinsmen (kutumbis). His body sustains injuries on several occasions, and he suffers from disease of the eyes (netra-roga). The life of such a native is filled with sorrow and subjugation (paradheenta, dependence on others and want of freedom). He incurs the stigma (kalank) of falsehood, theft, and the like; at times matters come to such a pass that he is disgraced, or even has to go to jail. He suffers loss of wealth (dhana-hani) on account of theft and similar causes. This Mangala (Mars) proves a source of distress to the native's wife (patni). Often it also yields unfavourable results for the native's paternal uncle (chacha, the father's brother) and for the husband of his paternal aunt (phupha).
