Jupiter in the 10th House
Karma Bhav — career, status, authority
Favourable Results
The native (the person whose chart it is) is extremely wealthy, martial, of upright conduct, glorious, victorious, learned, and principled (nitivan, sound in policy and ethics). He is renowned for his compassion, and from his wealth many people are fed each day. His fame is immeasurable (atul kirti), and his glory and might (pratap) surpass even those of his father and forefathers. Opulence (aishvarya) and vehicles stand ready in his house, and often he receives honour, wealth, vehicles, and authority from the state as well. He enjoys the happiness of friends, of sons, and of his wife, and he is generally successful in every undertaking. He gains wealth through teaching, through the iron trade, through handicraft (dastkari) work, and through import and export.
Unfavourable Results
If Guru (Jupiter) or the dashamesh (the lord of the 10th house), and the like, is under an inauspicious influence, the native performs evil deeds (dusht karma). He gains nothing from travel and the like. He has neither happiness nor benefit from his father, and often the father does not live long. On account of his charity (paropkar), or for other reasons, matters may come to the point of his even going to jail. His sons, too, are few. If the native has a taste for dharma (the righteous, religious path), his poverty grows in that very same proportion. And the dreams he has dreamed remain unfulfilled.
